Why have Giant bikes ditched the XL models for 2010?

Their whole mtb range only comes in S,M.L for 2010. It's a good thing that my 2009 Trance is in XL.
Just think it's really sad because Giant had some great large sizes for big guys like myself. Another weird thing is that their 2010 XTC 29er (surely a bike for a tall rider) only comes in S,M,L - what's with the downhill size range
Anyone else got views on companies phasing out XL sizes?

Well if you check out the Giant website - for the whole 2010 mtb range it shows

Ah, I was looking at the Geometry section. I wonder if the frames aftermarket can be got XL? Does deem to be a discrepancy, and would be a poor move.

hI in Giants 2010 catalogue mtb in XL sizes are as follows;
XTC 2
Talon [whole range]although this is a trail bike
Trance X4
Anthem X4,X3,X2
plus all the lower end stuff ie Boulder,Rincon,Yukon
Also the only frame set in XL is the Anthem X

I phoned up Giant to ask them about XL and they did confirm that the size has been completely dropped from their high end models for 2010.
I think this is insane as their is huge demand for quality xl bikes as any end of season sale shows; xl's are like gold dust.
It's sad as my Trance X is now one of a kind and I can't buy the carbon version because it's too small. Same with the xtc 29er, if there was ever a bike designed for large sizes it's a 29er - the fact that Santacruz have named their 29er the 'tallboy' and are offering it in XL highlights this.
