Hi everyone,
I know theres another 456 summer season thread near here, but heres my new frame. Can't wait to build it up, havent ridden a proper hardtail for quite a while, as have been swayed by the ways of the bouncy bouncy. Should ride a tad differently to my enduro!
More pics to follow showing the build later.
It wont be a mega build, designed to be on the cheap. I will be using as many of the parts from my old stumpjumper fsr which some of you may remember I snapped back in May.
Enjoy....
Pls can i leave work now so I can go and get started.......

Hi mate, just sent a 456 SSR frame back to On One as I got an opportunity to buy a Santa Cruz Blur 4X that I've wanted for ages, how does it ride? It was a really nice frame and it pained me to send it back but I couldn't pass up the chance to get a Blur 4X, they don't come up often.
Nice bike0 -
I only rode it today for the first time, as after I built it I realised my back brake needed bleeding and it was being a pain in the a4se so had to use a spare I had for todays ride. Compared to the enduro it was quite different. I didnt take it anywhere technical so didnt give it a proper work out, but so far so good. I'm lovin it!
It probably doesnt compare to a blur 4x but I should think that probably cost you a fair bit more than the Inbred!!
Here are the pics of mine:

Cool, how do you find them? I bought them off the classifieds as they were cheap. I have had real trouble bleeding them. The front went back to clarks and i think they sent a new unit out. The rear is going back tomorrow! If they dont need bleeding they are pretty good. Heay but stop you ok.
I have to say though that the guys at Clarks have been brilliant about them and very, very helpful. Hopefully we can get the back one fixed ASAP too.http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7231/6933696372_603c9ce220_b.jpg

i bought mine off rutland cycling on ebay. £50 for the pair. mine were already bled ready to go. easy to install. took some time to bed in but they do stop you pretty good, but they can be noisy sometimes. i haven't had any problems since buying them about 1 year ago.0

what size frame is this please? and how tall are you? I'm looking at buying one of these frames but not sure whether to go for 16 or 18 inch. I'm 5'9"
Cheers0 -
I'd go for the 16 if i were you, On One frames are always pretty long."Melancholy is incompatible with bicycling." ~James E. Starrs0

I'm 5-9 and had an 18" 456 and a 16" summer season. the 16" fitted much better. Small headtube mind- I used a few spacers under the stem to raise the front a bit. Personal preference, but I wouldn't use a 16" frame with 100mm forks if you're 5-9. The front is too low and steep0

Hiya, my frame is an 18" and im just over 6ft , possibly 1 or 2". 18" was right size for me, but like the other say I have 3 spacers under my stem now. I toyed with getting a 16" as i usually like my bikes on the smaller side but think Imade the right choice. I have a 100mm stem on it at the moment but am thinking of going a tad shorter. Still playing to adjust the position before i cut the steerer.http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7231/6933696372_603c9ce220_b.jpg
