Alternative to the Trek Fuel EX5

I really wanted a new 2010 Trek Fuel EX 5 but they're sold out until December at the earliest but I want a new full susser more...

I have a budget of £1300

lots of travel isn't important 100mm will do as most of the riding is single track etc although there's the odd rocky section.

I also want to be to take it to places like Afan etc.

and possibly something in the race mould that's good on the uphils.

Went for the Fuel EX 6.5 tempted to pay off the rest tomorrow. waiting a week could be too much for me.
