Surely though if he stays in a hotel and only goes out on a training spin then there is no problem ?Gasping - but somehow still alive !0

Ooh, I don't know, Moray- those pesky Italian drivers for a start, all of them would be wanting to run him off the road. Probably a bounty on his head. And then there's the food-Valverde's thinking that they could poison him. And they could drag up obscure by-laws for all I know- snoring too loudly, not drinking enough Italian wine, the list would go on.
And could you imagine all those Italian dogs who would suddenly be called Piti?
Have to hand it to the Italians though-all power to them.0 -
The Italian border guards are already imposing "tolls" on riders passing between the 2 countries:

Bet they'd want more than a jersey to let Don Alejandro through - otherwise it's rubber glove time.0 -
What's the world coming to when the Italains are at the forefront of anti doping?"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

"If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way. What we're witnessing here is the world's most high profile mid-life crisis" Afx237vi Mon Jul 20, 2009 2:43 pm0
