At least we can be bothered to breed and to feed ourselves with food we can actually digest."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Ask them if they want to visit the clinic in Switzerland0

Yeah but they do look cute locked up in Zoo's, dont they ?0

Apparently, to spur them on to get down with doing the bear necessities, scientists show the great big bamboo munchers a load of 'panda porn'.
Can't find any on Youtube, should i be looking on more, ahem, specialist sites?Let's close our eyes and see what happens0 -
Exactly! Any animal that can't be bothered to reproduce by itself or needs human assistance needs to go straight into value burgers.0

i wonder if any of the bright scientists have considered that the pandas aren't breeding because they always seem to be in zoos in pairs.......it could just be that all the good looking pandas are paired up with the mingers!
Upon this theory I think I should drop my life as it is and become a conservation expert.............ok, maybe not then0 -
Pandas are dying out because they have inbred and no longer eat meat (their jaw and teeth structure shows that they are supposed to eat meat). Their habitat has also changed, perhaps the bamboo has an addictive affect on them.
I think what Packham says is essentially correct. Take the genetic samples and preserve them, same with the rhinos, the threatened gorillas and so on. Conservationist efforts are essentially wasted when you have this limited a resource to draw upon.
There again it should be remembered that the Gerbil nearly died out until a pregnant female and some serious inbreeding took place.0 -
I think you mean hamsters...Crash 'n Burn, Peel 'n Chew
