Hi everyone!

Need some help and advice here.

I'm currently riding a race bike I built up from new parts about 12 years ago (1996ish). Spec is as follows:

Campag Chorus 8spd shifters
Dura ace front mech
Dura ace 53/39 chainset
Campag Chorus 8spd rear mech

Due to the spokes keeping breaking on my old wheels I replaced my old Goldtec 8spd hubbed wheels with a set of zonda's. I then used the old 8spd spacers with a new 9spd campag cassette, left a sprocket out and had a new 8spd set up that would fit on the zonda's. I also fitted a new 9spd KMC chain and 9spd jocky wheels to try to make sure ecverything would work as well as it could.

Anyway this set-up has worked ok, but it has not quite shifted as well as it could and has fluffed a few changes in sprints etc.

What I wanted to do is fit some new 9spd gear levers to hopefully improve the shift, and it would also be nice to have the extra sprocket.

I only wanted the cheap option though as I will eventually be replacing the whole groupset with something like Chorus 11. Considering this, would it possible to fit 10spd levers and use them with the 9spd cassette and chain?

Cheers for any help!

Dave
