Hi folks,

I see Evans are selling this jacket in the sale, was thinking of going for a bright yellow one for some extra daytime visibility, can anyone tell me if they are any good? I already have a decent Marmot softshell which is great for cold, dry days and has limited rain protection, just thinking about the Gore Cross for those really wet commutes. I've got goretex paclite overtrousers and really impressed with them so I'm hoping this is a good jacket.

Any thoughts?

Steve

  • yes, they're great and look fetching in blue. Paclite material means it packs into about the size of a snooker ball. Great for running too, dries in seconds.

    I like mine.

Never leaks. Lemon yellow is very visible and just about ok for down the pub. Good breathability and packs down almost as small as a Montane Velo.
The cut is perfect for on the bike but can be a little odd for off the bike, although not as bad as some of the Gore jackets. I'm 5'11" and 37" chest and the medium is spot on.
