Is it possible to adjust the reach on 105 STI levers, without resorting to new bars or moving the actual levers along the bars? Sure I read about it somewhere, but can't find it anywhere.
I just found some on JE James website as Evans were out of stock. Do they come with instructions or do you know of any videos/guides online? I want to adjust mine too, especially for those downhill descents just to make sure I can stop when I really need to.

There is a leaflet in the pkt. Basically pull the brakes on and you hve a gap between hood and lever and this is where the shim goes. There is a moulded piece on the shim that fits under the hood after you have removed the small grommet covering the hole in the hood cavity. It's easier to see than describe. The shim fits into the slot and you adjust the brakes. My experience is with Ultegra but 105 is the same.
I have soras and it's the same fit there. If you bought them separately then there should be 2 different size [shimano] spacers supplied in the box for this job otherwise i guess you need to get them separately. They won't help you stop any faster though, just reach the lever easier.

to the rats in the basement,
its not that far '
It's an aftermarket replacement. Edinburgh BC often has them. One of those things that actually does what it says and for v.little money
My Defy came with two alternative Shimano spacers to do the same thing (Tiagra STIs though)
