Alfine hub - dropped bars - shiftesr?

Hi,

What shifters can I use with an Alfine hub on a dropped bar? I can get some 8 speed sora shifters from chainreactioncycles, but they won;t have the right cab;e pull will they? How do I adjust the cable pull ratio once I've got that far?

    in case anyone was wondering... you can get a bar end shifter from planet-x that does the job. Sorted
