It's quite retro but to my eye looks way undergeared!! You'll be spinning out at 10mph...

I'm still looking to try out a full-size one, if anyone knows where I can?

    Cheers,
    W.

Was at a stag do over the weekend. The accommodation we hired had a bike hire place next door with it:

    It's an 'Ammaco' 'Penny Farthing':

We were hoping it was a copy of the original design when we asked to use it, but in retrospect, it was tricky enough to use. Spinning at 10 mph! It was hairy enough at about 5mph. Ended up going down a bit of an incline and over a level crossing. I couldn't turn the thing so had to get off it to turn around. Didn't try track standing :)

One of the other guys really mastered it, but my brother wasn't so lucky. He tried standing on the pedals, pushed his centre of gravity too far forward and rolled over the top - landed on his face...!

I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Looks like on of those bikes on the Dave channel Ad.

Incidentally, on Sunday during the Isle of Wight charity ride we did, there was a young girl at the bottom of one of the big hills near Ryde on a unicycle. My mate and I just looked at each other as went past, shook our heads and said "nah she can't be"

I had a go on one of those in Leeds during Bike Week. Quite good fun once you get the hang of the way the thing tries to turn on each half pedal stroke! And it quickly gets a bit hairy on even slight downslopes as you are then trying to keep speed under control because any feet bouncing on the pedals are likely to upset the steering.

Hats off to anyone who can tame a full size one........
