filling out house insurance form and it asks for bike's frame number.... but where the hell is it?

Bike is a Saracen Mantra 3.

Have looked all over the frame but can't locate any numbers (probably haven't looked hard enough I know)... but is there a 'usual place' that most bike makers etch or stamp a frame number? This of course assumes bike frame makers actually stamp a number on the damn thing.

Feel like a proper numpty asking this... but Google wasn't much help either.

Can also be on the bottom of the seat tube, depends on the bike, BB general area though as you have found
It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.

    Can I buy a new bike?...No - no result
