GT Sanction/Force frame sizing

Hi again folks, I have been looking at the 2008 GT Sanction 1.0 also the 09 GT Sanction 2.0 and also the 09 GT Force 2.0. (all medium frame sizing)
It would appear that GT size their frames differently !,

I am 5' 6" and own a 09 medium spesh fsr xc comp which is a 17" frame, which is comfortable for me to ride, looks like the medium GT frames start at about 18" to 18.5", if this is the case then i am snookered (again) as I can't find a small frame version at a decent price......bugga...

can any GT owners elaborate more on the actual frame sizing...

I think at 5' 6" (what's your inside leg?) the medium may be a little large for you, Im a shade under 6' with 32" inside leg and it was just right, they do come up large (Force and Sanction)

You want a certain amount of chuckability, so small would be right for you, can't you try one out anywhere?

These are just guides, and the M has a measurement of 18 inches for the seat tube. That is just one moeasurement out of many, so is not much use on its own.

A medium Spesh may have no correlation at all with a medium GT, even if the seat tube is the same size. Consider the reach, standover height, angles - test them if you can.

no way of testing the GT's at all (thats the joys of living in the back of beyond)...

back to the drawing board methinks.... would say that my Mrs. is doing a deal with some DemiGod to stop me from purchasing a new bike,.... :shock:
