hey hey, wondering if i could get a hand with a couple of things. i have this shifter:

and was wondering if the display was removable? Has two screw in it, and looks removable but dont want to take it apart and watch my shifter explode. Cant find info on the interweb either, anyone have any ideas?

And secondly, the adjustment screw on my hope m4 brake (previous shape) has split, meaning i cant get an allen key in there... see pic

the thing is i need to wind out the lever to bleed the brake. soooooo any ideas how i can unscrew it? also, does that adjustment part just pop into the cylinder? I will probably replace it, so does anyone know how it comes out?

Sorry for the long post, cheers for replies folks!![[/img]

    The shifter cover is removable.

You don't need to adjust the lever bolt to bleed the brakes, but if you need to remove it to replace it a larger allen key or Torx key hammered into the hole to remove the bolt? Or drill it out as a last resort.

Tech docs for Hope parts on Hope's site, the lever is fully rebuildable

    Lever,

dismantle lever and mater piston and unscrew it. then replace the push rod.

    shifter,

the insides will not fall out.

wow quick! cheers, i thought the lever was gonna have to come apart, and the shifter thing might seem a bit daft but one of my friends had to replace a cable, managed to undo the wrong screw and ended up with a handful of clockwork shifter parts...

Cunning, I'd not thought of that one!
