Replacement hub cones?

Just spent an afternoon fiddling around in the garage and amongst other things learned how to strip and rebuild a hub for the first time.
I noticed the cones on my front hub are slightly worn/pitted - only a little bit at this stage and they seem smooth enough so I regreased and reassembled, they seem fine at the moment but I guess will need replacing at some point. The cups look OK so don't want to replace the entire hub until some time in the future when I decide I want a new set of wheels...
The hubs are stock (09 Rockhopper Comp), the spec says only this:
Front Hub: Specialized Hi Lo, Forged alloy, Double sealed, Ground race, 28 hole
Rear Hub: Specialized, Forged alloy, Double sealed, Ground race, Cassette, QR, 32 hole
How can I find out what replacement cones I need, and where can I buy them? (Also bearings I guess...there were 10 balls each side at the front and 9 larger balls each side at the rear).
Cheers

A spedialized dealer! They should hopefully have a spare parts book, or be able to order from the importer.
Bearings themseleves are generic. The cones may actually be Shimano ones anyway.0 -
LBS may stock them take them with you and they may be able to match.0

Worn with a smooth track on them is OK to a certaion extent, if pitted then new cones are needed.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

OK. Does anyone know a good Spesh dealer that will look up the parts and send them mail order? I'd rather avoid taking it to bits again and traipsing round the LBSs on the off chance they have the right part in stock.
(I still have a slight distrust of the LBS I bought the bike from after an earlier cock-up on their part...).0 -
IIRC you can order the parts on the Madison webby and have them sent to your the shop of your choice with a Madison account.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

Sorry to drag this up again but I've not got very far with my efforts...
I contacted the LBS where I bought the bike. They said that they have no list of parts and would have to conduct a hub service (£12 labour + ? parts + the hassle of taking it in) to identify which bit was needed. The guy did say that it would be a re-badged Shimano hub but he wouldn't know which without taking it apart.
I also tried speaking to Edinburgh Bicycle Cooperative, who are also Spesh dealers. They said they could identify the part I needed but ended up sending some cheap generic axle and cone set which I'm sure isn't going to do the job properly.
Any other suggestions as to how I can work out the parts I need? I'm guessing the wheels aren't that great really so I'd rather DIY than paying a shop to service if possible, with the last resort being that I just run these wheels into the ground and save up for a new wheelset.

if they are re badged shimano then thecheap generic axle and cone set"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

They are good quality and will be equal to your original.
Problem here is Spesh not telling dealers what the hubs consist of for serving purposes.0
