I added a post onto the end of the last thread but it was a month old so thought I would bang a new one in, Evans apparently service shocks for £45 oil seal test etc, has anyone used them before ( the shop actually told me that they charged about the same as mojo but not according the their web page) can anyone confirm this too????
£100 is a total piss take if you ask me for a service, so if anyone has a link for fox rl rear shocks and where to get the parts (full parts not just seals) that would be great, do you also need specialist tools to sevice shocks or can they be done with a well equiped tool box?????

WHat does the £100 service involve though?0

I'd rather have Mojo or TFTuned service the shock, a little bt more expensive but they have more experience servicing shocks.

what shocks?
I'd use tf for just about everything apart from in warranty foxes.0 -
i just got my scott TC shock back from evans and they did a great job! clean new seals and they even re-stickered the shock, looked like new! really happy with them and turnaround once booked was 3 days so more time on the bike!
i had my toras serviced by TF last year, one week later the seal blew on the top of the right leg, i may have been the only one to have this happen but still a pretty weird coincidence0 -
I think they send them off, they don't do the service themselves, which is probably why it was a good job :-)0

They do they send all the shocks up to a main hub in Kendal where they have a suspension expert, in fact if you send any shock to Scott they send it to him they don't do it themselves do a google for Evans suspension servicing there was a whole forum of praise for them on the singletrack website0
