Anyone bought one of these and have any opinions? I was going to build up a second hand TK but now I've accumulated all the bits I'm getting a bit impatient. A few places are stocking the TK2 now but most still have the old TK.

  • I've never ridden a TK but if I had the money for a winter bike at the moment the TK2 would be top of the list. I love my KiC2, brilliant value for money and from what I've read the TK2 is no different. Upgrade (the distributors) are about the most friendly and helpful folk I've dealt with in the bike busines and I love the new graphics on it as well. I doubt you'd be disappointed if you went for it.

Went out on my TK today for the first time in ages. Really impressed by how it felt. It really is a great bike for the price. The TK2 promises to be even better...

I have a TK and I love it. My previous was a Trek1000 so I've not much to compare it with, but the ride is much smoother, the handling more accurate and it just feels all round like a better bike!

Is the TK2 any different except for the paint job? I really like my TK for winter. Bought a scratched new frame cheap and it's been a good investment. Nothing as good as rain riding with full mudguards on it and goretex.

According to Kinesis the geometry is exactly the same and "the only changes are detail changes to tube butting and forming in areas like the down tube and chain stays [mainly for increased durability"
