FSA in trouble?

What's going on with FSA? Everywhere seems to be off loading their stock as fast as they can. CRC have been clearing their chainsets at silly prices and Wiggle were doing the same with the disc wheel. Seems to be more than an end of season sale, are they going down t' pan?

  • I would be surprised but it does happen.

Could be a case of changing distributors/owners. Specialized did the same last year and you can no longer buy from Wiggle or CRC. Wiggle offloaded all the Spesh stock at low rates.

FSA seemed to have become a bigger player over recent years. It would be a shame to see them go as they do make some nice bits of kit especially chainsets. A lot of manufacturers have FSA components fitted to stock bikes for 2010.

Why not email them or their UK disti directly?

It was more idle curiosity really but your suggestion makes a lot of sense. Either way I got an FSA Neo chainset for a bargain. That's going to save me at least 1/10th of a second. Hardcore bike porn though!

The FSA disc Wiggle had on price drop was and amazing deal.

Clearing old stock - much of the stuff on CRC was 5-6 years old - ISIS chainsets and the like - having this stuff on inventory costs money - best to let it go at cost and use the cash for something else.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
