Getting worried about lack of preperation for a forthcoming tour around Scotland. Biggest cycle I have done in past 3 months is 20 miles although in in spring did three 100milers with adequate mileage in between.

Meant to get out on bike last week but had a bad cold so didn't manage.

How can I make best use of the next 3 weeks to prepare???

    ride your bike

    ...alot

80miles a day - 6-8hrs riding per day, day 1 should be fine, day 2 will be tough, day 3 will hurt

Dont worry about it. Seriously. I rode 700 miles through europe in a couple of weeks last year when before that my biggest ride was a 25 mile xcountry race ona mtb when i was 16. So long as you have the right attitude and dont require trousers with a triple digit waist then you'll be fine.

  • Youll handle it easy if you have done the 100 milers before, so dont worry about it

stretch properly every day and try and build up the front inside leg muscles so dont f your knees. look for VMO muscle exercises on google
