Can i borrow a tandem?

I'm looking for a tandem bike to take part in this months Critical Mass London bike ride with my girlfriend. I am a very keen cyclist, however live in Guernsey, and have no bike in London.
I'm over for 2 weeks and would like to take part with my girlfriend (who lives in Brent while she's at Uni). Any tandem considered, i basically just want something that's ridable for the afternoon.
I'm obviously happy to give some sort of deposit or insurance to make sure i'll bring it back...
