Newly serviced shock lasts 20 mins :(

So, last Sunday my rear shock blew out when I was 15+ miles from home. Fortunately the LBS is open on Sundays so I took it in, they sent it off to be fixed, and amazingly it was ready to be picked up by Friday.

So today I thought I'd take it out for a local ride round the woods ... less than 20 mins later, something feels odd, yep my freshly washed downtube is covered in oil again and the shock is p*ssing oil out of the lockout lever area.

Having been without a bike for a week and 200 notes poorer (I sent the forks off to be done at the same time) I am NOT HAPPY. Anyone else had a shock blow out this quickly? It's a Fox Triad on a Spesh XC Pro, and before you ask no I'm not a fat boy...

I need it to get to work too - I'm going to have to dig the old GT out of the back of the shed I think :x

Back to the shop to explain what has happened.

Was it set up correctly (air pressure etc) by the shop?

Did they send them off to TFTuned or Mojo, or do the work themselves?

If they did it themselves they should redo the work FOC as it was not fixed the 1st time.

Just sent mine back, flat out of the box! Won't hold air in RS Monarch 2.1, so back to shop, Special Delivery today. With postal strikes, don't know when Fisher will get/return it.

Hope it's better than your experiences so far...

They sent it to Mojo, the shop fitted it back to the bike. Only thing I noticed is it came back from the shop with a lot of air in it, like about 165psi whereas I normally run it about 130. So I let some pressure out before riding it, checked the sag and all seemed good.

I'm taking it back to the shop today.
