I've no experience of that bike, but it all depends what you're planning on doing with it.
My only other comment is
What the hell's going on with the brake levers?0 -
it looks well used
the bb height looks very high
the pedals look sh!t
and +1 with the brake levers0 -
-
+3 for the brake levers has the previous owner been braking while doing a hand stands?
It's a decent bike but as previously mentioned what pe riding are you wanting to do on it?
It willl be no good for cross country for instance as it prob weighs more than the elephant mans head?!"If i was a slug i don't think i could handle it, i'd just throw myself in the salt pot" -Karl pilkington
Whyte 46, i fall off it alot!!0 -

Needs more carbon.0

i would use the bike for dh obviously as that is what i ride. the tire would be changed to maxxis minions 2.7 on the rear and 2.5 on the front and the pedals would be changed to 50/50s xx straight a way. the brakes do look as ifthey need attention or bleeding but hey its a second hand bike what do you expect. yeh it'll need some work but oh well it'll keep me busy.0
-
why do the brakes look like they will need bleeding?0
-
It depends on how much is being asked for it really....What We Achieve In Life, Echoes In Eternity0
-
doesnt matter no more cause its just been sold.0
-
what's your budget?? if it's a cheap downhilll bike you want look for a orange patriot on ebay0
-
I can confirm that Patriots do indeed rock downhill.0

that's a starting bid.
Out of curiosity, what are the "bad experiences" you had with single crown forks?0 -
ahh well well well.... let me tell you a tail of nearish death......and a couple of stitches glue and a 3 1/2 hr wait in casualty.

follow you never know where the path may lead0 -
3 and 1/2 hours?? That was quick!0
-
when i say nearish death if the fork had stabbed my neck i would be 6ft under.
if i bought a bike off of ebay it would prefer it and in this country to be buy it now though + iwould need to create an ebay account0 -
i once sat waiting longer than 3.5 hours to have 2 broken arms fixed!!
thts a brilliant vid though and as gutting as it must have been to have killed your bike for a while, you could have been worse i spose, plus, youve got evidence of a good crash!0 -
You'll still need an ebay account to buy it if it's listed as a 'buy it now'.0

what fork was that you broke? (and I'm not entirely convinced that purely being a triple clamp fork would have saved you)0 -
3 and 1/2 hours?? That was quick!
inearly killed some of the people in there. there was 1 kid in there that had a grased knee and was able to walk fine. here i am with blood pumping out my face a nd a flap of skin hanging down just sat there like oh for f**k sake grow up you panzy.0 -
it was a manitou stance would you like some pictures?0
