This is just weird.
I come home from a ride, front tyre is fully inflated. Put bike in its nook in kitchen. Next morning, tyre is still inflated. Later that evening, notice that front tyre is flat.
A slowy, you say? Well, when I try to pump it up, it won't hold any pressure at all. None. The tyre appears to 'flat' while it's standing in my kitchen, not being ridden. I've checked the rim and tyre, nothing there. Also the floor in the kitchen. Each tube has contained a single, small hole.
Now, thing is, this has now happened TWICE in the space of a week.
Any hypotheses greatly welcomed.

Last time this happened to me it was the tyre- the rubber had got erroded inside at the points where the tyre had been folded for storage by the last owner, or in the shop - note the tyre tread was still in great nick - only way I coudl tell it was to take the tyre completely off, and flip the tyre inside out and look very carefully round the inside of the casing, and I coudl see two or three very small holes, which were big enough to drive the reinfocemet layers into the inner tube.
Course, could well be somethign completely unrelated, but worth checking it out...Fitter....healthier....more productive.....0 -
Hmm... it's a brand new tyre.
Still, going to have to dance the Campagnolo / Vittoria mambo, now (the worst tyre / rim combination -- tighter than a gnat's chuff).0 -

Had a new bike. First ride, 4 flats. Inside of rim was sharp, cutting the valve stem so slightly you couldn't hardly see it. Complained to rim co. Got two new rims, but same problems.
Had to use mini-file, thick rim tape and insulating tape too.
Stopped problem, but wary now, so mostly use tubeless rims/tyres.0
