Sticking Brakes - Hayes

A bit of an issues has developed with my wife's Kona Lisa HT. Both the front and rear discs brakes have started to bind/stick.
The brakes on this are HAYES HFX-9 XC.
It has been fine for a year or so up until a recent ride round the Croft Woods trail in Swindon. Since then the pads seem to be always slightly touching the discs and causing drag. This is probably the longest ride she has done on the bike, with the most use of the brakes.
I have tried re-seating the wheels, and also loosening the caliper mounts and re-aligning them in case something had moved, but to no avail.
There is, I have noticed, very little movement of the brake levers before you feel pressure, in fact pretty much none, though I seem to remember this always being the case. This is quite different to the Hayes Stoker brakes on the bike.
It is almost like the pressure is never fully released from the caliper pistons. I wonder if I need to release some fluid?

sounds like time for a service and a clean and lube of the pistons."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Could try a damn good squirt of brake cleaner (pads off first) and then reseating the pistons (pushing them back in) see the avid 3 thread for an example of how to do that.0
