Lyme Park

Anyone hit Lyme Park near Disley ? A lot of my rides on the MTB end up in there but I feel quite restricted inside becasuse of the 'road only' rule.

Just wondering what routes people take as I just end up in the front gate, then through to the back car park, down the track there to a house. Tur around and then go out the back towards Bollington/Pointon.

It annoying to get into such a nice park and not be able to ride it.

Been through a few times and asked other riders, nobody knows of any routes inside that I have spoken to. My rides take me in the west gate from higher poynton direction past the hall and out through the east gate towards Disley

Random add on to this thread but as you're a local to me I'll throw an answer in. I ride both bikes and have different outfits for each. Combat shorts and t for the mountain bike and Lycra stylee for the road. I'm looking for speed on the road so don't want baggie clothing there. Wouldn't look right on a road bike either. Just my preference but Im not a fan of tight stuff on the mountain bike in most circs either.

I was just asking aout whether you'd tried riding the Gritstone trail. It goes through Lyme park apparently.

I could be wrong but isnt the gritstone trail mostly footpath
