Mate at work was telling me this story earlier in the week - meant to share but forgot until now. Anyway...one of his girlfriend's mates is thinking of cycling into Soho from south west London way but wasn't totally sure.

Mate's girlfriend's mate (MGM): 'Oh, I don't know...isn't it a little unsafe?'

Mate's girlfriend (MG): 'No, I do it two or three times a week - tell you what, I'll escort you in. We'll do it together'

MGM: 'But aren't you worried about all the accidents? I've seen loads of those ghost bikes around'

MG: 'Really? I haven't seen any on my trips in...'

...turns out she's heard the story of ghost bikes, put two and two together to get five and convinced herself the white bikes painted on the road to indicate cycle paths were the ghost bikes she'd heard about!

Shouldn't 'lol', but can't help it really - how unsafe must she have thought London's roads were?!

    I once asked a boyfriend (when watching the rugby) how come they didn't end up with paint all over themselves from the logos etc which I'd seen [superimposed ]on the pitch.

    Most of the advertising logos are painted on the pitch so you weren't so stupid! They're painted so that from the perspective of the camera they look 'normal'. You can tell from the reverse camera angle.

    On at least one occasion during the 6 Nations the RBS logo was painted on the pitch a little too close to the game, and the players DID end up covered in blue paint! :D
    FCN 6 in the week on the shiny new single speed.

    FCN 3 at the weekend - struggling to do it justice!
