Hi guys I have been using my friends bike for the last month or so as he was injured, now he is making his come back next week which leaves me with no bike apart from my old mountian bike which is like a tractor.
I have been saving up a few quid each week to get myself a new bike but when I was in my lbs today the guy had a second hand trek 1000 going for the right money
€300 euro, the bike is in great shape as the previous owner did not use it much.
Any body have any experience with this bike and do you think I should go for it

My Mrs has had one for years no problems, you can add guards and a rack, I'd go for it.0

I think I will go for it and it will make a decent winter bike
and I can get a good bike come the spring0 -
I also bought one for my wife from a guy in belfast. On ebay they seem to go for approx £250+ so I would also go for it. Its a good basic bike.0

I've been riding one for the last few years. I think it's a nice bike and that seems a reasonable price.0
