I have a specialized globe sport 2007 (spec) and I would like to get a toolkit where most of the tools are compatible with it. Unfortunately I am not knowledgable enough to know whether the tools the toolkit provide are compatible so I was wondering if you could provide some help. The drivetrain is 8 speed and is shiamno, I don't know the size of the spokes and I think it is a threadless headset.

The kits I was looking at are:
* Lifeline
* Icetoolz
* Halfords

Thanks

  • The Ice Toolz is a good basic starter kit. All the tools are perfectly adequate for home use and if you want better tools you can upgrade slow time. The only other thing I would recommend is a torque wrench, this one comes with Allen drivers and a star drive.

    You still may need to buy some specific tools, but these are great starter kits and save you a lot of money - I use a Pro Bike Kit set which is the Lifeline rebadged. In fact many are generic kits.

    Halfords one is the one I'd get at that money. Use the 3 for 2 offer, and get some other bits too!
