Hi folks,
I`m looking at getting some of the new crud road racers but on their site it says only for 23-25 mm tyres. Does anyone run these with 28c tyres?

Cheers

Lee

I don't think they can be fitted with 28s.

The c+ review reckons 25 is a struggle.
  • I fitted them last week to my bike and I have 23's. I'd think 25's would be pretty tight, and 28's would be a step too far. I think the only area you have to worry about are where the stays attached to the guard itself; this is where the guard arches over the wheel slightly, and I guess would be the place most prone to rubbing on the tyre.

If you've got 28s on your bike, you possibly already have the clearance for full 'proper' mudguards?
  • 23s fit fine.
Might get away with 25s but depends on brand. Deffo not 28s
If you have to run 28s then get some full size guards.

Cheers folks, I do probably have clearance for full `guards but rather liked the look of the crud ones tbh :(

Go for the full guards, definitely.

'25 Ultra Gatorskins are ok with racerguards
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
