Hi all i have just bought my son this bike.
http://www.chevincycles.com/products.ph ... ide_Trail_
He was looking for a more sturdy HT with a little more travel than his old Spesh Hardrock.
Just wondered if anyone knows of any mag reviews apart from the one in mbr july .
Thought i had read on the web somewhere that it won what mountainbikes Longtravel HT for the last 3 years ?
Anyone got any experience of this bike. ?
thanks
Paul

I don't believe it has won that award.
This years model is better than the last few as they have finally fitted a good fork!
As it is a 2010 model, reviews will be thin on the ground (and users!)0 -
I had a 08 or 07 version of this and loved it suppose mine was upgraded but it will last for ages0

Thanks ss and shorty
Your probably right ss the only review i can find on last years is this ...

My son is really pleased with it just his old dad looking for more info
I had a little ride on it and it feels very much like a HT version of my mates Mount vision (probably those nice wide bars)
Im sure it will inspire confidence on the technical trail stuff we do which is a good thing and hopefully it will enable me to keep kicking his .****... on the climbs (and decents) for some time to come
Enjoying it while i can0 -
I thought you said in the other thread that you'd bought him a B-17?0
-
Correct but he changed his mind and wanted the 2010 northside trail.0

I'd have gone for the B-17 - better forks, and generally improved componentry all round.
sorry.0 -
