Deuter Compact EXP8 or Hydrapak Big Sur?

That is all.

  • I have the hydrapack and find it a good alternative to the Camelback. the resevoir is reversable for easier cleaning and you can remove the drink tube for cleaning as well. I get the normal spare jacket, tubes, food in as well so it can carry enough far a day out. The only small niggle is the bite valve can some times get stuck and drip all over you.

    hope that helps

mrs.blitz has a Deuter Speedlite and it's far more versatile than a CamelBak. Very cleverly designed and well made.

    Both valid points.
I have a Camelbak Mule... To be fair it's not the "Holy Grail" of hydration packs, like the press have you believe. Doesn't "Hug" your back as well as it should.

I have the EXP8, and it is superb! loads of room, well thought out!
You don't even know know your wearing it!
  • Cheers all, reckon i'm settled on the EXP 8, due to the external snack pockets, and aforementioned reasons.

Probs go for the Hydrapak pouch though, sounds like a decentalternative to Camelbak, and you can get the whole lot for £25, tubes and all. 8)
