Hope Vision 4 Issue

Has an issue last night with my Hope Vision 4 light.

Running on full beam, stopped and wanted to dim the light for a bit, pressed the button once, went into flash mode, which is expected, however, when I pressed it again, it went to the low setting, but then pressing the button again would not let it go any brighter and occasionally go into flash mode.

I beleive this is what happens when the battery is starting to die, however, there was nothing wrong with the battery. If I turned the light off (press and hold) and then turn the light back on, it was fine again and ran for another hour, but everytime I dimmed it and then tried to turn it back up it would stop on the low setting and would have to turn it off an on.

My mate who has a brand new Hope 4 was riding with me last night, and his light seemed a little bit brighter than mine. Has Hope changed the spec as his is brand new and mine is a year old.

I did notice a bit of condensation inside the lens, last week I was out in heavy rain, could it be that it's got a bit wet inside?

Could be any one of a number of things.

The best thing to do is to E-mail Hope (keep it friendly). The question is .....is it condensation or is it water? Heavy rain doesn't cause condensation. They will probably ask you to return it for inspection!

Their after sales are spot on!

    +1

If you give them your phone number with your email (and yes, keep it friendly) chances are they will phone you back as soon as they read it, if my (superlative) experience with them is anything to go by.

    Cheers guys.

Defo keep if friendly. I've got nothing but praise for Hope. Got quite a few of their goodies and they are spot on.

What a great bunch of guys!

Emailed them, they phoned back within 10 minutes with a starting point to fix.

There is a vid on their website that shows how to dry it out if water does get in.

Don't you just love keeping it British!

I had issues with my Vision 2 battery pack, they replaced it FOC. The handlebar clamp then broke and they replaced that FOC too.

Just give them a call, then they'll probably tell you to send it in to them and a few days later you'll get a working light back!

    Job done!

Yep, they did tell me to try the dry out procedure and if it still plays up I can send it back for them to take a look.

    Great company!
