Left an hour later for work today. Man does it make a difference, 10x more cars on the road and 10x more numpties (and I drive to work)
Why does it seem like no one else wants to actually get to work as they pootle around at 10mph below the speed limit on clear/open roads ? Why, when at a 2 lane roundabout, do people on the outside lane not pull out when the truck on the inside lane pulls out ? They sit there because they can't see the oncoming traffic through the truck but forget that anyone coming would have to stop for the truck anyway :? Why do drivers overtake cyclists on the approach to a set of lights but then, knowing the cyclist is on the road, pull right back in within millimeters of the kerb

There's a good reason I leave at 6:00am in the morning. The only highlight of the drive was overtaking a commuter on a nice looking Focus.

Sorry for the rant

  • You get it off your chest. I used to have an hours drive to work, unless it was school holidays when it was 45 minutes. Timing is all I found leaving at ten to the hour the traffic was less than when I left on or just after the hour. Straight lining at two lane roundabouts gets me.
