6 Speed Chain
Slow Downcp

Having rebuilt my Raleigh Triathlon, I'm just in need of a six speed chain to finish it off - I don't really want the hassle of the Shimano chains that needs special pins/tools to join (Hyperglide??), so any suggestions? Usually use KMC with joining link on my 10 speed set ups, is something similar available for 6 speed? The cheaper the better - only going to be used for commuting.

Any 6,7 or 8 speed chain will usually be ok. Even a 9 speed chain will work depending on the chainset and cassette. I run an old steel 6 speed bike with a 9 sped chain and the transmisssion runs sweeter than with a 6 speed chain.Though the chainset is a modern 9 speed one.0

Chainset is also 6 speed - all original Shimano 105 parts as Raleigh factory spec (including Biopace chainrings and downtube shifters!) It's been sat in bits in the garage for a few years, so thought I'd get it out of retirement for work duties.Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos0

Good news.
Shimano 6/7/8 spd chains can come with a Quick link. Or just pick a Sram one that will come with a Quick link."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

dont see why not. But KMC do list different chains to work with different numbers of cogs.
but the 6-7-8 speed chains use the same spacing (shimano)."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
