Hello peeps,

I've forgotten which side to fit the spacer on my Bottom Bracket. It's a 68/73mm compatible BB going into a 68mm BB shell.

Does the spacer go on the drive side or the non-drive????

I change it so often I really should know........feckin' ISIS!!!!!

what make of BB are you using an e type mech or a BB mount chain device.....

    tried downloading the manual?

It's an SKF unit, the manual is a bit ambiguous! seems to show assembly of parts but with no bike in the drawing. Maybe I should experiment and judge by the chain line?? I checked the park tool site and no help there.

Normally to make up the 5mm you would have one on each side of the bb shell.

some BB,s use one spaver as the non drive side bottoms out on the bearings and not the frame.

link to a pdf of the manual?

I have a paper manual which came in the pack, I'm a tech luddite and am crap with the net. Thanks for your help though, I'll measure the chainline and go by that.
