Hi all i have just ordered my son who is nearly 15 this bike ...
http://www.marin.co.uk/2009/bikedetail. ... No=3971-1F
He wanted the 2010 Marin Northside trail ....
http://www.chevincycles.com/products.ph ... ide_Trail_
When i rang our LBS the man in the shop explained that the 2009 b17 was the same frame but a better speck than the 2010 Northside trail and they had 1 on special offer. But it is not the same frame as the 2010 !!!
We popped down to the shop and my son liked the 2009 b17 so we bought it.
What he would like to know is is the bike suitable for jumping as the frame shapes differ slightly. In the link above you can see the geometry of the 2009 b17 but Marin do not seem to have the geometry of the 2010 Northside trail up on their website yet.
Do you think this bike is suitable for XC and Jumping ???
thanks
Paul

Yep, the B17 is a strong old brute. Definitely suitable for the casual dirt jumper, who also want a bike he could ride all day.0
