Which one first and how to make adjustments campag veloce se

I have just bought my simoncini corsa strada steel frame bike with campag components. I wanted to fine tune the fittings and wondered which to start with. for instance i have a sella italia c2 gel seat but it feels very hard even with padded shorts. should i check pedals and saddle height first?

    Yes - check the saddle height.

    Pedals - what's to check?

    Saddle - they get softer/more comfortable with the miles - I remember mine used to feel like a lump of 4X2 - now I can sit comfortably on it for hours without a thought!
