Am hopeful that the kind of machine I am after exists. AM currently using Cateye Strada Double Wireless which I've found a bit of a disappointment if I'm honest.

Would like it show my journey time for my rides into and home from work with both pedalling time and elapsed time but can't see this information.

Have also been using my running GPS watch (Garmin Forerunner 305) but particularly starting the journey home in the City it takes for ever to get a GPS signal and then constantly loses it meaning I wait at lights and it keeps counting.

Ideally I'd like to be able to look at my mile splits after the event and see. Time for split. Average HR, Max HR, Average Cadence, Max Cadence etc.

The Garmin does a pretty good job at this for running but it's a killer where the signal is weak.

Do any of the Garmin dedicated Cycle gadgets double up with a wheel magnet to record distance when the GPS signal is weak or to auto calibrate? Am sure that the right cadence magnet will allow the data I'm looking for to be stored...

Thanks in advance... :)
