Hampton to Frome

Hi - Bit of a long shot I know...but can anyone recommend a route avoiding A roads. I've done this trip many many times by car, but planning a suitable bike route is prving difficult. I'm trying to get down there same day - not adverse to a v early start.

If anyone has any advice or able to direct me elsewhere I'd be very grateful.

    I've done this journey (at least as far as Westbury) a number of times. You cant avoid A-roads completely but the following is reasonably direct:

    Chertsey - Virginia Water - Ascot - Martins Heron - Farley Hill - Mortimer - Heath End - Kingsclere - Burghclere - Inkpen - Shalborne - Pewsey - Urchfont - Westbury - Frome

    Just over 100 miles. Be warned there's a lot of minor roads between Farley Hill and Urchfont where it's easy to go astray! :oops:
