Hoping to upgrade my Trek 1000 soon and looking for advice about the best bike for around £1,000?
Very keen on Treks and quite like the new 2.3 (around £1,150) - any advice on other options would be great!

Thanks for tip off re Planet X - their bikes look good for the money.
Will post this type of email in the right forum next time!0 -
Agree, looks a great deal from Planet X0

Planet X is a very good package but personally I think its ugly looking, although they are working on a £1000 package with an Ultegra Groupset... that should be worth buying if it looks good.
Other good bikes are Boardman Carbon, Ribble Sportive or Giant TCR Alliance.Cycling never gets any easier, you just go faster - Greg LeMond0 -
Focus Cayo 105 should not be overlooked.0

If you like the look of the Trek 2.3,,,hurry up and grab a 2009 1.9 (Ultegra groupset), this is the 2.5 for 2010,,,discounts, if you can find one come in well under your price target,,,this is what I did last week.0
