    Just to take over this topic heading...just spent today marshalling at the blackpool stage. What a brilliant day. Saw the riders out this morning from Stanley Park in blazing sunlight in a cracking atmosphere made by about 100+ screaming local school kids. Then saw another side of the race this afternoon as I acted as suppport vehicle marshall for the stage ending. I've never had the opportunity to stop-dead a fleet of 20+ police motorcyclists before or to see the riders out of the public glare as they cool off before boarding the buses prior to moving to the next stage. Even got to get a photo wth the BC zsar himself David Brailsford. If any of you get a chance to volunteer next year I suggest you give it a go. Met a few new friends and mixed with our countrys finest boys/girls from the Army (REME).
