Hi there,
I'm new to posting on here so please help.
I went to view a Giant NRS today, not sure which model but it weighed about the same as a Trek 4100 I used to have. It was mainly black with white decals and blue rims. It had hydraulic brakes (which needed re-fitting and have seen better days) and generally needed a bit of work (maybe replace crankset, tyres, brakes, pedals, handlesbars and grips) and the frame was a bit tatty. the guy will go no lower than £160.
Is this a good buy or not?
My other option is an 06 Marin Nail Trail. It looks in much better condition but I've not seen it close up.
I'd appreciate any help with this.
Thanks
Gary

2nd hand can be a mine field. If the bike needs work, it could add upto several hundred more (ie wear and tear parts, suspension servicing, pivots etc).0
