Hello all
Just wondering if anyone on here knows the bunch of riders who had a prang Saturday?
Happened around 8:30-9am on the Wickham to Southwick road B2177 at the fast crossroads after Boarhunt village. Group of around 7/8 road bikes heading towards Wickham. There was what looked like some wheel clipping followed by some quite impressive cartwheels as I was pulling up to the junction.
4 of them (i think) went down quite hard, and one stayed down. A young woman in a car called an ambulance then left. I stopped and helped as best i could untill it turned up.
Steve, i think that was his name seemed a bit dazed/confused until the O2 was given but otherwise just banged about, nothing appeared broken but i reckon a good cuncussion. I saw 2 well f####d helmets.
Any how, I was the guy on the motorcycle, just like to know if their all ok.
I cycle too, and did'nt think those helmets would do much good( i do wear one though) proven wrong that day.

You do know they're supposed to deform when you crash - the energy taken to crumple, crush and snap the helmet is all energy that isn't transferred into your skull.
No where on a helmet does it say "Will prevent you from getting a concussion in the result of a crash"
From the sounds of it, if the riders of which you speak had a concussion WITH a helmet on, then I dread to think what you'd have come across had they not been wearing helmets.
Without dredging this into another "Helmets - yes or no" thread, of course...! :?Cannondale Synapse 105, Giant Defy 3, Giant Omnium, Giant Trance X2, EMC R1.0, Ridgeback Platinum, On One Il Pompino...0 -

Dont want to start anything. MY thoughts, they look poor compared to my Arai. But as said-proven wrong. It can still go very wrong for a motorcylist at 30mph
Yes, would not like to think the outcome if they had not been using.
Just asking if anyone knows how they areTrek 2.3C
