Anyone riding a pair? if so could you please let me know how your getting on with them.
Thinking of buying a pair but need to compare to the Sidi range.

I ride in Mavic Avenir, and I like them a lot - fit and comfort. No idea what they're like compared to Sidi though as I've never had a pair.0

FWIW I buy shoes because they fit, not because of the brand.
Would you buy a pair of shoes from Aldi because they fitted even though everyone said they were uncomfy after 20 miles and fell apart? Nope, thought not.
I have SIDI's and the quality of them is quite brilliant although the insole may not suit some. Given that all of the parts a replaceable and they show little in terms of wear after 6 months, I think they will last forever
I brought a pair of Mavic gloves for £30 that fell apart in a month, and everyone asked if they were from Morrisons, but their shoes may be a different kettle of fish altogether, and they seem to get good reviews.0 -
I have both the sidi and the mavic. Both are good shoes - for me the mavic is a more comfortable fit and is a bit wider fit than the standard sidi shoe. Sidi insole is a bit cheap and nasty whereas the mavic is a bit plusher. The mavic is also a lighter shoe, however the sidi has a much better/higher support at the heel if that is important to you. I use a size 46 in the sidi and a uk size 11 in the mavic. Both shoes have stiff enough soles for me but for rides of 2+ hours, I favour the mavics.
One thing to watch out for is that the sole of the sidi is thicker than that on the mavic, so that if you are very meticulous on your seat position you may need to adjust it ever so slightly.0 -
The M on the Mavic shoes does bear an uncanny resemblance to the lower end of the food chain supermarket Morrisons. just worth mentioning as there was a thread about this a few months ago which was quite funny. I like sainsburys as Morrisons is full of pasty chavs.0

I was asked whether my shoes were buy one get one free by someone at the cycling club! Although I seem to have noticed that Morrisons have changed their M to green rather than black like Mavic, that's what I keep saying anyway0
