Just got back from a ride at dusk near Beamish woods and saw loads of wildlife - rabbits, frogs, bats an owl (which I heard twit tawooing aswell) and a fox! Two miles along from there, a different kind of wild life - some chavs in a park drinking cheap cider riding motorbikes.
Been a few weeks since I've been out on the mtb due to work/family stuff and it just reminded me how much I enjoy being out and how much more 'fun' it is pottering about on the mtb as opposed to the road bike dodging traffic.
Just wish there was some more summer time left

Getting off the roads can't be beat. And though I'll miss the early morning summer riding I'm looking forward to some autumn mudfests and crisp winter riding. Hope we get more snow this year. It's a four season thing.0
