My playground.
Just thought I would share some of the views I get on my local loop / rides.
Out of my back door and after a 15 min climb puts me into the hills with miles and miles of singletrack with stunning views over the North Wales coast including Angelsey, Bangor, Llandudno and up the Conwy valley.
An old quarry with some cracking potential
And a view of Llandudno and Conwy, ofcourse you have to get the bike in! 8)
You don't get all this at trail centres!
If anyone ever pops up this way give me a shout, I'll happily show you round!

Nice scenery, it is a very nice part of the country. But...You don't get this at trail centres
Here's two from Coedy, for example.. (mountain bike scenery top-trumps! )

Fair cop, I suppose what I meant was in Trail centres you can be stuck in Forest for most of the ride and have nowt to look at. Up the tops here there is always a good view, weather permitting ofcourse!
The marin trail also has some good views at the top of the 1st climb.Niner Air 9 Rigid

Well, we are in Wales. Stand on top of anything tall enough, and you'll have a great view!0

i'm working in st asaph on monday next week and may get a chance to take the bike with me. any suggestions on places to go guys?0
-
if you're in St asaph, and fancy a trail centre blast, then try Llandegla. Just follow the A525, and you should be there in about 25 minutes.0

Except Number 4 blast furnace at Port Talbot... :roll:0 -
I have some some nice scenery too.
These are random places in Northumberland, not the best photos but its ok, not as dramatic as Wales thoughfly like a mouse, run like a cushion be the small bookcase!0 -
Pish, no mountains :x
Seriously though, it does look very scenic. England definitely has it's share of beauty spots, as long as you stay away from heavily populated ares.0 -
We do get alot of tourists, although the routes i am finding are very isolated and often unused. or rarely used. Keilder can get busy but you just have to pick your times. Yeah we are short of mountains on my doorstep but its definatly not flat nor boring.fly like a mouse, run like a cushion be the small bookcase!0

I meant populated areas like large towns, cities, that kind of thing. England is certainly "green and pleasant" away from all that hubbubb.0

ah, with you. no problem there, nawt big around these parts and i include the fact Newcastle is 20ish miles away. like i said its nice but nothing like your part of the world for scenery and probably trailsfly like a mouse, run like a cushion be the small bookcase!0

A couple more.
This is a view over Angelsey from a mountain called Drum just above the North Wales coast. Probably one of the best decents around from here 8)

I like this pic too, one of my better ones, had to set a good timer on the camera for that one! From here its downhill all the way to sea level, all the way down that track that comes out of my back wheelNiner Air 9 Rigid

here's more mountaineous silliness. This time from the Porthmadog area.
The climb was just stupid, but the descent was fun.
