And absolutaly loved it. Great experience. Went out with the Chippenham Wheelers and have to say thanks to all for making me, and another newbie to club riding, feel very welcome.

Wasn't the fastest paced ride but I really enjoyed it, pushed myself on the climbs and was suprised that I was sticking just behind the front runners for the most part of the ride. Think I could get used to this group riding lark. Lots of etiquette to learn but getting the whole warning sruff quite quickly.

This is the route that we rode

Once again big thanks to the Chippenham Wheelers for making me feel welcome. and not laughing at my bike.

  • Went out for a normal club run with Addiscombe CC today - after last Saturday's baptism of fire with the 105 mile Brighton and back. Still feel a little edgy in a group (hands on the brakes all the time), but it is much nicer and it stops you slacking on the climbs. Anything that gets me out of bed before 10:00 on a weekend and gets 50 more miles racked up has to be good.

Being (originally) a Wiltshire boy, that looks like a nice route. Go West instead and I dare say there will be some testing climbs.
