Need an avatar?

It just occured to me that either some people may not know how to add an avatar or that some people have a photo that they would like but don't know how to reduce it to the required size.

To add an avatar: Forum > Edit Profile (top right) > Upload avatar (bottom of the screen).
It needs to be 80x80 in size or it wont fit.

If you would like me to create one for you then either post here with the photo you would like reduced or post with what you would like. I will then PM you the avatar, et voila!

I like messing about with photos etc...

    I have had problems getting below the 10 kb filesize. On a lot of other forums you can either have an image that meets the pixel size, or the filesize. But here you have to have both! Even with Photoshop, using the low quality setting my avatars come out at 14-15 kb even when its 60 pixels. How do you manage it yourself? Are you using a different app, or does a website reduce it for you?

    Never had a problem with kb. Maybe because the original photos weren't that big (max 1mb). I just simply crop the part of the photo, edit it a bit then reduce to 80 pixels.
