can i use a shimano 105 front mech with a SRAM rival changers, have just got a SRAM rival group but messed up and ordered wrong front mech (braze on should have been a 34.9 mm band on) have a brand new 105 front mech will it work?? or will i have to get a sram one

SRAM actuation cable-pull is generally different to Shimano, so probably wouldn't work

works fine if not better, I have set up a few bikes with sram shifters and shimano front mechs, For me the best set up is Sram shifters/rear mech/brakes/shimano cassette/front mech/KMC chain. Not looking to start a fight just my personal choice

thats basicly what i have, sram rival chainset, rear mech, shifters, and brakes, ultegra rear cassete, KMC x10sl gold chain, and was going to put 105 front mech but may go to dura ace to do rest of bike justice
