    I'll know if it's true after my marathon in October (the cod liver oil tablets should have kicked in by then) :)

    If not, I might have to put in for knee replacement surgery :wink:

  • Got my bus pass but still climbing fell walking and mountain biking - probably fitter now since I got back on the bike 12 months ago 8)

    I remember getting well and truly slaughtered by an old boy on a touring bike when I was riding my mtb a while back. Quite disheartening as I was pushing as hard as possible.

    Feck I can't even cycle fast now, let alone when I hit my 60s!

    I will freely admit when it comes to my club rides I will never be able to beat the Commander in the sprints (he's 8 years older than me), although somehow when the TV chair is up for grabs on the ride home I do seem to make it there before him, but not by totally legit means :lol:
