I see you've given it its own room and bed, very thoughtful of you. I hope you knocked before entering.

    Love the rims.

I'm 6ft, and yes Miss Marple is - she rides on my lap. And it is huge, I need to shorten the seatpost or it shall require it's own ladder to mount.
Btw, are those stickers on the bed?

Yes those are! They're stuck on now albeit rather discretely. I shall be masquerading it around the London Skyride so say hello if you recognise it!
  • nice bike looks cool.. need to teach it to make the bed.

I wish. I doubt that I'll be able to pedal that far out from home.
  • Looking good there m8 ;)
I should be having some penny's dropped off tonight, all going to plan ill be getting one up and running in the next week.

p.s any chance of a piccy with the decals on ;)
    Cheers,

If you cant race it, and you can't take it to bed, what is the point?

Still looks massive, what is it, like a 24" or something?
  • The guy said these where 17" or 19" so i asked for the biggest.
Mine both measure up as 21.5" from centre bb to top of seat tube.

Well here is a picture as promised with the decals on:

Notice red bolts for the brakes and stem.

yeehaamcgee will also notice that I've lowered the saddle, I'm 6ft and can ride that fine.
  • Looking sweet there m8 ;)
Ordered more goodies earlier so should be good to go soon.
Still not got my dad to paint my main frame yet so gonna do the second bike first seeing though my gt died on me.

That headtube still looks mean ;)
If you cant race it, and you can't take it to bed, what is the point?
  • Hi again m8, not sure if you have had any probs with this but are you having any issues getting to the valve on the rear shock? The shock pump i have has a pretty big brass valve head and wont go on unless i remove the shocks top mount.

Hope all is fine with your stead and in life.

    Cheers
    Neil.

Nope, I have a bendy Topeak Shock Pump with a rubber hose attached to it - cost £20 but its worth it. Are you sure your Shock is correctly installed?

the rims look very nice but the stem looks way to long though.
  • It probably is fitted wrong as i kinda guessed, i'll put a pic on later on so you can see how i've got it on. I'm not sure who made my shock pump, i've had it for years now but never had an issue before, this is the first shock i've ever had where the valve has been offset to one side.
Thanks for the responce and hopefully its just me instaling it the wrong way round
    Cheers,
    Neil.

  • Not sure if you can tell from the pics but its offset to the left and doesn't give enough room for my shock pump.

I was a little wary at first fitting it the way it is now as i wasn't sure if when the shock compressed it would close the gap between valve and frame but fully compressed the gap doesn't alter.

Mine is installed like that, the Topeak I have has a bendy end so I can wedge it in and move it around. Its around £20, can't find the name of it but hope that helps!

Also, to finish off the frame: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DIAMOND-BACK-BIKE ... 286.c0.m14
  • Nice one for the info m8, i'll ask in my LBS see what they have as i guess quite a lot of shocks have an offset valve, hopefully they will be able to sort me out.

Black or red hmmm ? What you think?

    Cheers,
    Neil.

  • If you do need a new shockpump for it try eBay and look for a BETO pump, has a special valve engagement screwcap which means no air loss when connecting or disconnecting.

Nice bike Miss Marple, what's the travel and proposed usage of it?

120mm and sticking to XC, Singletrack with a shorter stem and DH with a more durable rear shock when I have the cash!
